razalian asked: Trap isn't fairly new. It's more new to the commercial scene. I am not a huge fan of it either but yeah, it does have its crowd and all you can do is let it die down.
yeah, it’s been around for a while, but more hidden
now it’s everywhere and i wish it would go back in the shadows again honestly, it’s not ALL bad, very hard to find any good though
i just feel like when i’m at a festival or anything of the like, trap totally ruins the vibe, and it attracts a lot of people that don’t have a good vibe to them
if i wanted to hear rap and heavy “gangsta” beats, i would go to a rap concert or something ;p
That’s the best thing about festivals and the like, if you don’t like trap (or whatever), there’s other stages with different genres of music. To each their own, I’m just glad there are options.
this is true, for some festivals
but i’ve been to a few where i found myself running around trying to find a stage that wasn’t playing trap
i felt pretty trapped myself :p
and sadly a lot of artists i enjoy have switched to trap from their usual genres
i’ve gone to countless shows expecting lets say dubstep or dnb, but got trap instead
but i mean for sure, to each their own, artists can make a switch if they want to
and obviously a lot of people like it if it’s becoming so prominent
i just personally don’t enjoy the vibe of it
